During the dip-coating process the substrate is immersed into a tank with coating material at constant speed. After a while in this coating bath, the substrate starts to be pulled up and the thin layer is deposited on the substrate. Excess liquid runs off the surface and the solvent evaporates from the liquid and forms the thin layer. The zinc flake coating system is a method to apply cathodic corrosion protection in a currentless way. Additional topcoats increase the performance. Our specialist Rembrandtin has developed a perfectly adjusted system with multifunctional properties. With only a few micrometers of layer thickness, the REMCOR system resist for 1,000 ours in the salt spray test. The system consists of a base coat and a top coat (REMCOR BASE and REMCOR TOP).
